East Bay Pediatric Assessment

Comprehensive Psychological Evaluations

Approach to Assessment

Dr. Ruzin specializes in assessing children when there are questions about a possible Autism Spectrum Disorder (previously known as Autistic Disorder, Asperger’s Disorder or Pervasive Developmental Disorder), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD or ADD), thinking, problem solving or learning challenges, or behavioral difficulties. Evaluation can take different forms depending on the questions being asked, so it is important to discuss goals for assessment prior to beginning. Dr. Ruzin will guide you through this process, and is pleased to answer questions along the way.

Some of the assessment tools that Dr. Ruzin commonly utilizes in her evaluations include the WAIS-IV, WASI-II, WISC-V, WPPSI-IV, DAS-II, Bayley-III, Mullens, ADOS-2 Modules T and 1-4, Vineland-II, ABAS-3, SRS-2, DP-4, BASC-3, KTEA-III and various behavioral rating scales for parents, teachers, children and adults. In addition, personality assessments such as the Rorschach and MCMI-IV will be used if there are concerns for personality traits your child is exhibiting.
